Cloudbet review for UK players

block #05 of 8Cloudbet logoOur rating 2.9 out of 5

Cloudbet is run by Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., a Curaçao company. Cloudbet cites a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, and the Curaçao Gaming Authority register lists the operator's entry as Assessment in progress.

Cloudbet scores 2.9 out of 5 with us, on two of the six criteria.

Who runs Cloudbet?

Halcyon Super Holdings B.V. operates Cloudbet from Abraham Mendez Chumaceiro Boulevard 03, Willemstad, Curaçao. It is "a company incorporated under the laws of Curaçao".

Cloudbet describes itself as a "Crypto betting platform since 2013". It runs a sportsbook and a casino together. Players reach the casino games, table games and live dealer titles through a single account and wallet, alongside betting on football, basketball, tennis, MMA, baseball, NFL, horse racing and esports.

This review covers the casino side. Our team tests the casinos and checks every fact before a page is published, and the method is set out on how we check crypto casinos for UK players.

Is Cloudbet licensed?

Cloudbet states that it is "licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority under licence number OGL/2024/328/0599". That wording describes a licence already granted.

The Curaçao Gaming Authority register lists licensees by company. The line for Cloudbet's operator reads as follows, under the register's own column names:

#License numberLicenseeCompany typeIssuedExpiresStatus license
226OGL/2024/328/0599Halcyon Super Holdings B.V.B2C23-Nov-2523-May-26Assessment in progress

The licence number and the licensee match what Cloudbet states. The status does not read the same way. Cloudbet's words describe a licence it holds. The register's Status license column describes an assessment still in progress, with an Expires date of 23-May-26. An application in progress is not a granted licence, so weigh the register's status when you read Cloudbet's claim.

Complaints and dispute services

Cloudbet's complaints route starts with Customer Support at support@cloudbet.com, with all relevant details, and Cloudbet is to have "a reasonable opportunity to investigate and respond". No complaint may be referred to CADRE until Cloudbet has issued its final response, or until a reasonable period has passed without resolution after the complaint reached Customer Support.

The Curaçao Gaming Authority also certifies dispute services under article 5.17 of the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK). Its list of certificate holders names these, under the register's own column names:

Certificate numberCertificate holderPurposeEffective FromExpires on

Cloudbet's complaints route names CADRE, and the register lists a certificate holder as Cadre BV. The Gambling Commission does not license Cloudbet, so its complaints route for licensed businesses is not the route here.

Coins and payment methods

Cloudbet may accept the following "Supported Coins" for deposits and withdrawals: BTC, BCH, ETH, USDT, USDC, USDP, PAXG, DAI, DOGE, LTC, DASH, LINK, DOT, ADA, SOL, ALGO, AVAX, POL, SHIB, BNB, XLM, XRP, stETH, TRON, ZEC, TON, USDe, sUSDe and HBAR, and fiat currency. Acceptance is "at our discretion".

Cloudbet supports more than 30 cryptocurrencies across major blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT, XRP, Litecoin and BNB. Its coin list names Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple and Tether, and major fiat currencies are also accepted.

Deposits, limits and fees at Cloudbet

Players sign in and fund the wallet with BTC, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum or 30+ other cryptocurrencies. Cloudbet advertises "instant deposits"; its terms give the more careful wording: cryptocurrency deposits are "typically credited following the number of network confirmations required for the relevant cryptocurrency". Processing times are estimates, and network congestion and extra verification can change them.

On fees, Cloudbet advertises "no withdrawal admin fees".

The deposit limit tool is a separate matter. It lets you cap what you can put in, and its rules are in the safer gambling section.

Paying by card

Players who do not own crypto can use a card instead: Cloudbet names Visa, Mastercard, ApplePay and GooglePay. It states no fees or limits for these methods.

Withdrawal limits and times

All times on this page are the casino's own statements.

Cryptocurrency withdrawals are "typically processed within 24-hours of approval", subject to completion of any applicable KYC checks. These are estimated timeframes, and actual times can change with network congestion, processing times and additional verification requirements.

Cloudbet advertises a stronger claim: "90% of our withdrawals take less than 2 minutes", with an average withdrawal speed shown as "< 1 minute". It also advertises that you can "Withdraw your winnings almost instantly". These are marketing figures; the 24 hours is the stated processing estimate to plan around.

Two conditions sit before any withdrawal:

  • 100% playthrough of deposits. Cloudbet's clause reads: "Before you can make a withdrawal, you must wager at least the total amount of your deposits (a 100% playthrough). Cloudbet may reduce this requirement at its discretion."
  • Verification. Funds not tied to a bonus can be withdrawn "subject to completion of applicable KYC and AML checks". Deposits and withdrawals may be restricted, and funds locked, until verification is complete.

Verification and account rules at Cloudbet

Age. Cloudbet does not accept players under 18. Underage gambling is illegal, and "no winnings will be paid to you" if you are identified as underage.

Documents. Identity verification requires "reliable, independent source documents", for example national ID, international passport, bank statement and utility bill. For individual customers, Cloudbet has contracted Sumsub for automated KYC, covering ID checks and a check that the customer is who they say they are.

When checks happen. Identity verification is required when cumulative deposits reach or exceed USD 2,200. Cloudbet also reserves the right to verify identity on an ongoing basis, including when details change or activity "appears suspicious or unusual", and to request up-to-date documents at any time, even after earlier checks were passed.

One account. Cloudbet allows "Only one account per customer/IP/household/phone number verification". If you open more than one, all accounts may be blocked, suspended or closed, and any cryptocurrency credited to them frozen.

Automated software. Automated software or systems used to gain an unfair advantage are barred. If Cloudbet reasonably suspects a breach, it may void all bets and permanently block the account.

Dormant accounts. Once an account is classed as dormant, Cloudbet may charge a fee of USD 5 a month (or the equivalent in cryptocurrency) until the account is reactivated or the balance reaches zero. The fee "will never reduce your Account Balance below zero", and funds in a dormant account remain yours and will not be forfeited.

Closing an account. When you ask to close, Cloudbet does not require documents beyond those asked for at opening or during the account's life. The exceptions are where more information is strictly necessary under anti-money-laundering rules, or to complete a withdrawal already in progress.

Welcome offer and wagering

Cloudbet advertises its Welcome Package as offering "up to $2,500 in real cash", rewarding players "from your very first bet with daily incentives and a final Cash Vault bonus".

The package works as follows:

  • Length. It is a 30-day reward program. The period starts when you place your first bet after your first deposit.
  • Minimum deposit. It is activated by your first deposit of any amount.
  • Who can take it. It is for users who registered on or after 08:00 (UTC) on 2 January 2025 and who have not received a different sign-up offer.
  • How it is earned. The package of up to $2,500 is "earned incrementally from your casino and sports bets through a combination of Rakeback, Daily Cash Drops and Weekly Sports Cash Drops".

For wagering, the one general rule for deposits is the 100% playthrough of deposits before a withdrawal, covered above. It applies to deposited funds. Bonus funds and bonus winnings are handled separately under Clause 8, and Cloudbet may set a maximum stake per gaming round for bets placed with bonus funds, "as stated in the offer". Check the maximum bet shown on the offer before you play.

Our rating leaves Bonuses unscored, so this section carries no score. For other offers, see our guide to crypto casino bonuses for UK players.

Rakeback is "the return of a percentage of the house edge on every eligible casino bet, win or lose". Part of each amount is credited directly to your account and the remainder goes into your Rewards Calendar.

Cloudbet defines Bonus Abuse with four examples: delaying game rounds, free spins or bonus features until wagering is done; leaving "parked" bets unresolved and settling them after wagering ends; using bonus funds to build in-game value and cashing it out with real-money play; and exploiting software bugs or unintended game behaviour. A staking pattern designed to clear wagering "with little or no risk" can also count. Where Cloudbet reasonably finds Bonus Abuse, it may void the bonus and any related winnings and take further action.

Other promotions and cashback

Rakeback

Rakeback runs beyond the welcome period. Cloudbet advertises that serious bettors get value returned on every bet through rakeback and "up to 80% back on the house edge". The Welcome Package rate is the lower 10% figure, so the two numbers describe different things.

Cash Drops

Daily, Weekly and Monthly Cash Drops are "cash rewards based on your casino betting activity" in the previous day, week (starting on Monday) or calendar month, in each case in UTC. The amount is set at Cloudbet's sole discretion. Weekly and Monthly Cash Drops are available from the Silver tier.

Tournaments

Cloudbet advertises regularly running tournaments. No prize figures or entry terms are stated, so check the rules on the tournament itself.

Games and providers at Cloudbet

The casino claims 3,000+ casino games. It also advertises "over 2,000 slots". No exact count is given behind the 3,000+ figure.

Slots

Cloudbet offers over 2,000 slots, with options for any preference for reels or multipliers, and points to Jackpot Slots for bigger payouts. Players are advised to check the return to player (RTP) percentage, and Cloudbet says it "lists the RTPs of our casino slots clearly on our slots page". No provider names are given for the slots.

Cloudbet Originals

Cloudbet Originals are "a suite of games designed with high RTP", in Cloudbet's words. No RTP figures are stated for them.

Table games and live dealer

Table games and live dealer titles come "from leading gaming providers". For live dealer errors, where the dealer's announced outcome differs from the one the gaming system recorded through human error, the system's result prevails, and affected bets are settled, voided or corrected under Clause 10.21.

VIP and loyalty at Cloudbet

Cloudbet describes its VIP program as "a service model, not just points". Players keep earning rakeback through the loyalty club, and the tier path adds milestone cash rewards in USDT or the active currency "with no playthrough". From Sapphire onward, the VIP host can submit priority-withdrawal requests and tailor offers around how the player splits play between high-volatility titles and steadier sessions.

There are two ways to join: wager your way up the publicly defined tier ladder through the Cloudbet Rewards program, or transfer existing VIP status from another platform.

Betting limits are part of the pitch too. Cloudbet advertises personalised high limits with no fixed maximum for VIP and high-volume bettors, and says Whale Mode removes traditional betting limits on selected events. Whale Mode is an automated position builder that sequences bets towards a very large target stake, where you set the size and minimum odds. Cloudbet also advertises "no rollovers on rewards". No tier thresholds are stated.

Customer support

Cloudbet offers "24/7 multilingual support through Live Chat" and a dedicated 24/7 customer service team. Live chat and support@cloudbet.com are the ways to reach the team. No languages are named and no reply time is stated.

How Cloudbet compares with other crypto casinos

We compare Cloudbet with the other casinos we review on the same fields. Each has its own page in our crypto casino reviews, with its licence body shown there. The figures for them are ranges.

MeasureCloudbetOther casinos we review
LicenceCuraçao Gaming AuthorityShown on each review
Rating2.92.3 to 3.9
Games figure3,000+1,000+ to 13,000+
Stated withdrawal timeTypically within 24 hours of approval (crypto)From within 1 hour to within 72 hours of approval, or 1-3 business days
Welcome wagering100% playthrough of deposits before any withdrawal35x to 45x where a multiplier is stated

On rating, Cloudbet's 2.9 sits inside the range. It rests on two of six criteria, so it carries less behind it than a rating built on all six.

On games, its 3,000+ claim is mid-table. Some casinos state 10,000+ or 13,000+; others state 1,000+ or 2,000+.

On withdrawals, the stated 24 hours sits inside the range of stated times. Cloudbet's claim that 90% take under 2 minutes is a different kind of figure from a stated maximum, so we do not rank on it. For stated times side by side, see fastest paying crypto casinos for UK players.

On wagering, the comparison is not like for like. The other casinos' multipliers apply to a bonus, to deposit plus bonus or to spin winnings, depending on the casino. Cloudbet's package is earned through rakeback and cash drops, and its 100% playthrough applies to deposits.

Where Cloudbet does worse is account and safety: 0 of 5, with an operator whose register status reads Assessment in progress.

Our take

Two scored areas carry the 2.9 out of 5: Games earns 5 of 5 and Account and safety earns 0 of 5. Bonuses, VIP and loyalty, Support and Mobile carry no score.

Pros

  • 3,000+ casino games, the casino's own claim, with no exact count.

Cons

  • Account and safety scores 0 of 5 in our rating, and the register line for the operator reads Assessment in progress rather than an active status.

Who it suits: a reader who puts game choice and a wide coin list first, and who has read the licence section above and weighed the register's status. Anyone for whom the licence status matters most should compare it with the other reviews before deciding.

Safer gambling

Protection comes first. Gambling should be paid for from money you can afford to lose, and it should stop when it stops being fun. Our responsible gambling guide for UK players explains the warning signs.

Cloudbet offers these tools:

  • Deposit limits. Daily, weekly (7 days) or monthly (30 days). Deposits above the limit are held and become available when the period resets. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising it waits 24 hours.
  • Cooling-off. Lasts 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month or 3 months. Your account stays open but you cannot place bets, and you cannot end the period early. While cooling off you get no benefits, bonuses, reloads or rewards.
  • Self-exclusion. Lasts 1 year, 3 years, 5 years or lifetime. You cannot access your account or end the period early. A temporary exclusion reactivates only when the period has passed and you ask Cloudbet to reactivate. A lifetime exclusion is irreversible.

Gamstop blocks gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain. Cloudbet is licensed by a Curaçao authority, and that is never a way around a self-exclusion. If you have excluded yourself, stay away from gambling sites of every kind, whoever licenses them.

If gambling is causing you harm, these services are free:

  • National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133 (England and Scotland).
  • NHS Wales Helpline, 0808 2819 265 (Wales).
  • Gamstop, to block every site licensed in Great Britain at once.
  • GambleAware, whose support services are available only to Great Britain residents.

You must be 18 or over to gamble.
