How we check crypto casinos for UK players
Who runs each casino
The operator line is read from the casino's terms and conditions and its footer. We give the operator's name as the casino prints it, with the country of registration where the casino prints one. TrustDice's terms, for example, name Satoshi Gaming Group N.V. as owner and operator, and Thunderpick's name Paloma Media B.V.
Where a casino's pages name no parent company, we name none.
The licence
We take the licence each casino names in its terms, with the body that issued it, and quote it as the casino gives it. We then check a Curaçao licence on the Curaçao Gaming Authority's licence register, and any licence against the validator or certificate the casino links from its own pages. Where we cannot find a licence there, our review says so.
Where the register shows a licence as Assessment in progress we print the register's wording beside the licence rather than calling it issued.
The Gambling Commission says it licenses and regulates the businesses that provide gambling in Great Britain, so a licence from another body is not a Gambling Commission licence. We say which body issued each licence.
How we keep our facts up to date
Each page shows the date it was last updated beside the byline. A casino can change its terms after we have read them, so a fact is true as of that date, not as of today, and we update a page when we see a change. The date shows on each of our reviews.
Each page ends with a sources block: one line for each website we read and what we used it for, with our team's tests of the casinos as a source of its own.
If you think we are wrong
A fact reported as wrong is checked against the casino's page, which we open again before changing ours. The corrected line carries the date of that second reading.
Send corrections to info@chaincasinouk.com. Our about page covers the team behind the list.
